AP Power Talks - AD Design Show | October 2018 The spatial design for this conference hall for Architectural Digest's first design show in India, attempted to inspire its occupants by creating a dynamic and democratic space. An impossibly long corridor was used as a key design feature, which was given a floor to ceiling wrap in amoebic shapes and paint textures, along with manipulated lighting to create a pulsating optical illusion. Contrasting this tunnel was the main hall in an oasis of light grey. Regular seating was eliminated in favour of more informal step seats which were lined along the three walls. An array of paint swatches were used on cushions to give the interiors a pop of colour, while wallpaper samples found pride of place as discs on the walls.
